A heat pump hot water system pulls warmth out of the outside air and moves it into your water tank, so it uses far less power than an old electric storage unit. - Solar Victoria: up to $1,000 off (50% of the price, capped), or up to $1,400 for eligible locally made products.
- Who qualifies: owner-occupiers with combined taxable income under $150,000, property under $3 million, replacing a system at least 3 years old. One hot water rebate per address.
- VEU and STCs: Victorian Energy Upgrades and federal STC discounts come off the price as well. Solar Victoria says combined upfront savings can reach $2,030 on an eligible locally made system.
